Busy Little Family!!

Wow! It has been such a long time since I have updated all of you on the happenings of our family life. We have been very
busy... I finally finished my teaching credential, and am hard at work trying to find a full time job. I am currently working as a long term sub teaching 7/8 grade Math, YIKES!!! Chris is still hard at work in Fire Season, he is actually on a late fire right now :-) Money, Money, Money!!! Wyatt is busy in pre-school learning zoo-phonics and how to count to 100. Hudson is a big boy and all over the place. I am so lucky to have such sweet and loving boys in my life. Wyatt is playing AYSO soccer and getting ready for the ski season. he just got new skis and is so excited. We haven't had the opportunity to do much camping this season, so we are excited to spend lots of time on the mountain skiing for fun this winter. I have to say a huge THANKS to my family and friends for all of your help this summer through my student teaching. I could not have done it without all of you xoxoxoxo

HUDSON IS ONE!!!!!!

Wow.... I can't even believe a year has already passed. On April 11 Hudson turned one. I remember back to that week before he was due. I did everything I possibly could do to push myself into labor. The actual morning I went into labor I got up at 4am and ate scrambled eggs with Castor oil.. Yes, I said Castor oil!!! But hey by 11am I went to the doctors and my water was leaking so I went to the hospital and sure enough I was in labor. So I am not exactly sure if it was the Castor oil or not, but I am going to go with it... It makes for a good story :-) So with all of the craziness in our lives right now we opted to not have a huge 1st bday party for Hudson. so instead we had special 1st birthday pictures taken by our good friends at Johnstone Studios. They turned out wonderful and are so happy we did them!!! We are all doing great here. The boys are growing so fast and are just loves. Wyatt turns 4 at the end of this month and Hudson has been walking for a little over a month. Wyatt thinks he is his own personal toy!!! He just loves his little brother.... I am busy finishing up school and working toward my teaching credential, and Chris is gearing up for Fire season. Hope this finds everyone with happiness... STAY TUNED.........

A quick update

well not too much has been happening over here lately.. Just business as usual!

Wyatt started skiing this past month and that has been so much fun. Chris took him once and then we both got to go last Sunday. We rotated skiing with him and watching Hudson in the lodge. It was dumping snow out, but he was a trooper. He never ONCE complained. He was a champ getting on and off the lift and was making turns on the bunny hill. I never would have thought the bunny hill would be so much fun! Hudson was a tropper too.. He actually slept for almost three hours in his stroller in the lodge.... Chris is going to try and take Wyatt up every Monday until the season is over :-)

On another note, we had a WONDERFUL visit from my parents Valentine's Day weekend.... Chris was supposed to head out of town on a Motorcycle trip but got cancelled due to the weather, so we all got to hang out... The best part was getting my parents and the boys pictures taken by our friends at johnstone Studios that weekend. it was so special. I will post some pictures :-)

Not mych else to report, everyone is happy, healthy and busy! We are gearing up to go down to HB for my mom and neice Emme's birthday March 20th, so that should be fun....

POOR HUDSON

Well what can I say except this has been a miserable week for poor baby Hudson. The poor little guy has had an asthma attack, a cold and an ear infection. He has just not been himself! I hope he starts feeling better real soon. I miss his little smile :-( Besides that nothing too exciting has been happening.... Wyatt has been busy as always riding his bike, running in the backyard and trying to do the opposite of what ever we ask him!!! 3 1/2 is SO fun.. We were hoping to head to HB this weekend, but with my school and Crazy work schedule it just seemed to hard, so if Hman is feeling better we may try and head over the hill and do a little camping in Colfax, CA. So we will see. We want him to get better, so it may just end up being a lazy weekend around the house. But hey it might snow, so that would mean a wonderful fire.... This week ahead will also bring great anticipation, as we are waiting for the arrival of my parents to come and visit for Presidents Day..... So we are SO EXCITED.. We miss our family horribly!!!
So a funny little story about my dad today.. my home phone rang and I let the answering machine catch it. I was listening to what the person was saying and they were talking about budget cuts and down enrollment. So I thought it was my university making a phone call, but then I recognized the voice, it was my dad so I picked up.. I was saying dad its me, you called my house.. He continued to talk. So after a few seconds he says Brit.. Oops, I am in a meeting, my blue tooth dialed you! Only my dad would do something like that :-)

Death Valley Camping

Well, the boys are back from their camping trip with Daddy. As hard as it was to be away from them for almost 5 days, I know they had a ton of fun. While they were gone I was able to catch up on homework and go see a chick flick with Jessica. Emme, Wyatt, Grady and Hudson got to play in the sand, roll down sand dunes, ride bikes and play with the goodies that grammie sent for them. Emme even told Nicole that next time she wants to stay 3 days instead of 2 since the Fischer Clan left on Sunday :-) I am so happy we are turning our niece and nephew into little campers.... Hey I guess we are even getting Tommy and Nicole into it too :-) The boys are already trying to plan our next camping trip.. However the next time we go camping their will be one more little camper... No, no we are not having another! Tommy and Nicole's little #3 will have arrived (may) by the time we go camping next time with them I am sure.

Taking home baby Hudson April 11, 2008

Yikes I look scary... Happy Big brother and proud daddy!

Since this is a new blog, I thought I would start off with the first pictures of Hudson and Wyatt. I will post some up to date ones when I am on my other computer :-)

My first blog

Well here it is bedtime and I start on another project..... Am I crazy or what to think that I actually have time to blog!!!! I was reading Ashley's blog on baby Zoie and it inspired me to take the time to write about my family and everything we have been up to lately.. .. Time just flies and I feel like my boys are growing like the speed of light. Wyatt is 3 1/2 and will be 4 in April. Hudson man is already 9 months, well actually closer to 10 months now. he will be a year old April 11th. having him growing out of the baby stage definitely makes me want another, but I think Chris would die.... So for now I am completely happy with my three men. maybe one day there will be some gender equity in my house. This last year has been a world win.. New baby, new job and a new career path for me.. Which ultimately meant MORE school. I started a home daycare in June and started back to school on my teaching credential and masters in August. I will actually be done in August with school so I can't wait. i can't wait to spent more time with my boys, my husband and my family... Maybe my husband and I can actually take a trip just the 2 of us, now that is a novel idea...
This weekend marks the first weekend that I have ever been away from Wyatt or Hudson. I know.... I am a crazed mom. We just have never had the opportunity to get away. Chris and Tommy (my brother in law) took Wyatt (3 1/2), Emme (my niece 3 1/2), Grady (my nephew 20 months) and my little one Hudson (10 months) camping to Death Valley National Park! What great dad's they both are. They allowed both my sister and i to have a nice relaxing and peaceful weekend. But boy do I miss them!
With all the craziness in our lives right now, I hope to get on here as much as possible to update everyone on the fun and exciting things going on in our lives
